Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This page lists the cookies and browser storage items this site uses, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and whether it depends on your choice. It works together with the Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and storage are

Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. Browsers also offer "local storage" and "session storage", which work in a similar way. I refer to all of them here as cookies or storage items.

2. What this site sets

The last column says whether your analytics and advertising choice (see section 3) changes the item. Durations for third-party items are the ones published by the provider and can change. Items set only by the provider's own script are described as such.

NameSet byPurposeDurationAffected by your choice?
cookieConsent (local storage)This siteRemembers your analytics and advertising choice so you are not asked againUntil you clear site dataNo, it records the choice itself
az_lead (session storage)This siteKeeps the name and email you typed in the booking form, and a random identifier for that submission, so the booking page can show them and the thank-you page knows the booking came from the formUntil you close the browser tabNo, the booking flow needs it
az_booked (session storage)This siteMarks that you told the booking page your call is booked, so the thank-you page can showUntil you close the browser tabNo

Local storage copy: kept until replaced or you clear site data, and treated as expired after 30 days. Session storage copy: until you close the browser tabYes. It is not written while you are opted out, and if you opt out it is deleted from all three places
Google Tag ManagerGoogleLoads the other tags on this list. It does not set cookies of its ownNot applicableThe tags it loads receive your choice as a Google consent signal
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics 4Tells visits and visitors apart and measures how the site is usedUp to 2 yearsYes. Google receives a denied consent signal, and under Google's consent mode may still send limited pings that do not use cookies

Present only if you arrive from an OpenAI ad and the pixel has runSet by OpenAIYes. The pixel does not load while you are opted out
Other OpenAI pixel storageOpenAIThe pixel may keep additional identifiers to measure ads. See OpenAI's own documentation for the current listSet by OpenAIYes. The pixel does not load while you are opted out
Calendar on /book-a-callGoogle Calendar appointment schedulingRuns the calendar where you pick a time. Google may set its own cookies while it is shownSet by GoogleNo. Google's own policy applies
az_ch_jwt, az_ch_user (local storage)This site, client portal onlyKeeps you signed in to the client portal (sign-in token and basic profile). Set only if you sign inUntil you sign out or clear site dataNo, the portal needs it
lsn-read-* (session storage)This site, client portal lessons onlyRemembers that you marked a lesson as read in this tabUntil you close the browser tabNo

The booking and snapshot forms send their content to my own automation, CRM, Gmail and Telegram when you press send. That does not add a cookie to this site. The newsletter sign-up and the older contact and article forms send to Formspree instead, which is a third-party form service; I set no cookie for it, and Formspree's own policy applies to what it receives. If I switch on Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check on forms, Cloudflare's own policy applies to it. Some older pages also load fonts and scripts from Google Fonts, Cloudflare (cdnjs) and jsDelivr, whose servers see your IP address.

3. Changing your choice

You can opt out of analytics and advertising measurement, or opt back in, at any time on the privacy choices section of the Privacy Policy, or with the Cookie choices button in the footer. What each choice does is described there. You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, or block them, although parts of the site may then behave differently.

Before you choose, analytics and ad measurement are allowed, except where they stay off until you press Accept: when your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal; when your time zone is in Europe (any Europe/ zone, or Atlantic/Azores, Atlantic/Madeira, Atlantic/Canary, Atlantic/Faroe, Atlantic/Reykjavik, Africa/Ceuta, Asia/Nicosia, Asia/Famagusta or Arctic/Longyearbyen); or when your time zone is UTC, GMT or unknown and your browser language is an EU, EEA or UK language. Your own choice always wins over these defaults.

4. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

This site treats the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out, as described above. It does not respond to the older "Do Not Track" browser signal; use the privacy choices link instead.
