How engagements work, from the first call to hand off
My two main engagements are private Executive AI Coaching and Fractional CAIO. This page says who each is for, what happens, and what I ask of you, before you spend any time on a call.

A good fit
- You are a founder, CEO, president, managing partner or owner-operator who decides for yourself.
- You lead a firm of roughly 10 to 500 people, or a family office or investment firm.
- You use ChatGPT now and then, and want it working on your real documents and decisions.
- Someone on your team or in your peer group is ahead of you, and you would rather catch up in private.
Not a fit
- You want a developer or an implementation shop rather than coaching.

Fractional CAIO
Fractional CAIO, in 90 day cycles
Part-time AI leadership for a company that has AI experiments and no owner for them. It starts with an AI readiness assessment, then a roadmap, vendor selection and hands-on implementation with your team. Read more on the Fractional CAIO page.
I price Fractional CAIO engagements at $15,000 to $35,000 per month depending on scope and term.
Engagements are scoped in cycles of 90 days. Scope and term are confirmed on the call, before anything starts.

Confidentiality, in plain terms
- What you tell me stays with me. I do not share what you say in sessions, or the materials you show me, without your permission, except where the law requires it.
- NDAs are available on request. Ask at any point, including before the first call.
- Written handling terms. Specific handling terms for your material are agreed in writing before you share anything.
- No certification. I hold no security certification such as SOC 2, and I say so up front.

Questions
Questions executives ask before a first call
Where do I start with AI when I have no time?
Start with one real task you repeat every week, or one decision you are weighing, not with a list of tools. That is what the 30 minute call is for. We pick one, and I tell you whether coaching, a Fractional CAIO engagement or neither fits.
Should I hire an AI person or work with an outside advisor?
If you want to learn to use AI yourself, private coaching fits. If you have a few AI experiments and nobody who owns them, a Fractional CAIO owns the roadmap for a defined term. If you need a full-time hire, I will say so on the call.
How do you handle confidential documents?
What you tell me stays with me, and NDAs are available on request, including before the first call. Specific handling terms for your material are agreed in writing before you share anything. Some material is better kept out of AI altogether, and I will tell you when that is the case.
How long does an engagement last?
Fractional CAIO engagements run in cycles of 90 days. Coaching runs at a regular rhythm we agree on the first call. The Fractional CAIO fee is stated above. The coaching fee is confirmed on the call, before anything starts.
Do you promise a return?
No. I do not promise outcomes or a return figure, and I will not quote one before we have looked at your work.
Will you build it for me?
In coaching we build together, live, on your own work, so that you can run what we build. If you need an implementation shop rather than a coach, I will say so on the call.
